I'm looking for an position utilizing geographic information sciences in the workplace for any application. I have extensive experience using computers and technology, and learn very quickly, requiring less training then my peers. I can bring a high technology point of view to the workplace as well as a friendly, 'get it done' attitude.

I Digitized satellite photos of Maryland counties for planning purposes using ArcGIS as part of a team of fellow students. At this position I demonstrated my ability to learn methods not taught to me directly, with little outside direction. In just a weeks time, I was finding shortcuts to digitizing, increasing my efficiency, and also benefiting the other students by teaching them my tricks.

Safe Routes to School Program Intern

I worked with a coordinator who monitored two dozen different school districts and municipalities to make sure they were keeping current with plans they had drafted to improve school-childrens' walks to school. I kept my manager organized by making charts, graphs, and spreadsheets to track progress. I also sat on a committee that would read, hear, and approve or deny grant proposals based on a wide range of criteria, and contributed greatly to this effort.
